Self-assessment has been the biggest change in the
way the Inland Revenue collects tax from taxpayers in the last twenty
years.
For many people involved in their own businesses, or who have incomes
from pensions and/or stocks and shares, the British taxation system
can be a nightmare. Far from simplifying the system, successive
Chancellors have built it up to such an extent, the Inland Revenue
now send out a sixty-four page-working document, for you to calculate
your own tax.
Allied to this, you now have to pay for years up front, and if you
miss the various deadlines, woe betide you, there are hefty fines
levied if you miss them.
We take all the uncertainty out of this, and with our own software
can produce your tax return quickly and effectively, complete with
the important calculation of how much tax is to be paid or repaid,
and more importantly, whether you need to make any "payments
on account" for the following year.
We will even deal with the Inland Revenue on your behalf, taking
away all the trouble of those little queries. We will advise you
of when and how much to pay; check your taxation statements and
query any inconsistencies or miscalculations we encounter.
Our Self-Assessment Service is provided on a "fixed fee"
basis, and will be dependent upon your circumstances. This service
is provided at a fraction of the cost most other accountants could
achieve.
Our own software can produce your tax return
quickly and effectively.
